National integration is an important policy goal for many nation states, and one approach to promoting integration is to require citizens to live in a different region of the country for a fixed amount of time. In this episode of VoxDevTalks, Oyebola Okunogbe joins us to discuss new research on the effects of a Nigerian government programme, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), which has sent cohorts of university graduates to different regions of the country for a mandatory year of national service.
