
Andrea Guariso is Senior Assistant Professor of Economics (RTD-B) at Bicocca University in Milan. He is also affiliated to Trinity Impact Evaluation unit (TIME) (Trinity College Dublin), Laboratory for Effective Anti-poverty Policies (LEAP) (Bocconi University), MISUM – Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (Stockholm School of Economics), Centro Studi Luca d’Agliano(University of Milan), and LICOS -Center for Institutions and Economic Performance (KU Leuven).
He is an applied economist with prime interest in development and political economics. His research has been financially supported, among others, by Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), International Growth Center (IGC), UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), and Children Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). He also worked at the European Commission (DG Development) and as consultant for the World Bank.
