Gauri Kartini Shastry is an Associate Professor of Economics at Wellesley College. She is a development economist with research interests in education, health, and financial decision-making. Much of her research examines policies intended to improve child nutrition in South Asia. Kartini holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Brown University.
