Mark Maffett is a Professor of Accounting at Miami Herbert Business School. Prior 2022, he was an Associate Professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Mark has a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is an associate editor at the Journal of Accounting Research and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Accounting and Economics and the Accounting Review. Mark’s research focuses on the real effects of international financial reporting and disclosure regulation, including aspects such as foreign corruption regulation, accounting standards, securities regulations, and auditing regulations.
