Mayara Felix is an Economics PhD candidate at MIT. Her research focuses on understanding how governments regulate markets, and in particular on evaluating the effects of government policies on market outcomes. Her current work includes evaluating the effects of trade policy in Brazil, corporate tax policy in Indonesia, and education policy in Massachusetts. Mayara is originally from Olinda, Brazil, and holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Mount Holyoke College.
