Meredith Startz is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Economics Department at Princeton University. She will also be a Postdoctoral Fellow at SIEPR in 2018-19, before joining the Stanford economics department as an Assistant Professor.
Her research is at the intersection of development and trade, and focuses on how contracting problems shape transactions and firms in developing countries. In her job market paper, she estimates the size and welfare effects of search and contracting problems faced by Nigerian importers.
