PhD candidate in Economics, Bocconi University
Michela Carlana is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at Bocconi University, and in July 2018 she will join Harvard Kennedy School as an Assistant Professor in Public Policy. She is an affiliated student of LEAP- Laboratory for Effective Anti-Poverty Policies and a research affiliate at IZA. From September 2015 to May 2016, she was a Visiting Fellow at the Economics Department at Harvard University and from September 2016 to August 2017 a PODER Research Fellow at IIES (Institute for International Economic Studies) – Stockholm University .
During her PhD, she has primarily worked on Education Economics with a focus on equality of opportunities in human capital accumulation. She is also interested in Labor and Development Economics.
