Nonso Obikili is an economist whose research primarily focuses on African economic history, development, and political economy. He is a research associate at the Laboratory for the Economies of Africa's Past at Stellenbosch University and a Non-Resident Fellow at the Centre for Global Development. He was previously chief economist at Business Day and Policy Associate at Economic Research Southern Africa. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
