Sule Alan joined the European University Institute in June 2019 from the University of Essex. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Bilkent University, Turkey, and a research fellow at CEPR, an affiliate at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and Character Lab.
