Hannes Felix Mueller is tenure researcher at the IAE (CSIC) and an associate Professor at the Barcelona School of Economics. He finished his Ph.D. at the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2008 and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the IAE between 2009 and 2018 (Ramon y Cajal Fellow and Juan de la Cierva). His research interests are the economic costs and causes of violent conflict, political economy, machine learning, development economics and organisational economics. He has published in the American Economic Review, the Journal of the European Economic Association,  the American Political Science Review, the American Economic Journal: Macro and the Public Journal of Economics. He has worked on policy reports for the World Bank, the United Nations, the IMF, several NGOs and the International Growth Centre (IGC). Hannes teaches Political Economy, Text Mining and Development Economics at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and the Barcelona School of Economics.
