In this episode of VoxDevTalks, Nicola Limodio joins us to outline how the adoption of platform interoperability in African mobile money markets - a policy that promotes transactions and competition across mobile money operators - affected users. This research shows that interoperability benefits users by lowering mobile money fees, but these positives are offset by decreasing network coverage, particularly in rural and poor districts, which lowers financial inclusion.
