Sarah Langlotz

Sarah Langlotz is an Assistant Professor of Development Economics at the University of Göttingen. She completed her PhD at Heidelberg University and held postdoctoral positions at Heidelberg and Göttingen, with visiting stays at the Aix-Marseille School of Economics, the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, and the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Her research lies at the intersection of development economics and political economy, with a focus on conflict, international migration, and development finance. She is a recipient of the First Prize for Excellence in Applied Development Research, awarded by the German Economics Association and KfW, and holds grants from the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Joachim Herz Foundation, amongst others.
She co-founded the Digital Development Dialogue (3D), a monthly online forum for policy and research exchange on development economics.
