Fernanda Rojas-Ampuero is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research lies at the intersection of public, urban, and development economics, with a focus on how social policies shape inequality and long-term outcomes. Using historical records and large-scale administrative data, she studies the impacts of forced displacement due to slum clearance, social insurance, and institutional change on children and families. She is a faculty affiliate at Center for Demography and Ecology at UW-Madison, and an Invited Researcher at J–PAL LAC.
