Parikrama Chowdhry
Associate Director - Policy (Scale Ups), J-PAL South Asia
Parikrama Chowdhry leads multiple scaling interventions that have proven effective through rigorous evaluations. Her work focuses on system-change initiatives across themes of economic inclusion, crime, violence and conflict and education, particularly in South Asia. With over a decade of experience, Parikrama leads multi-sectoral partnerships and collaborates with senior policy makers, economists, implementation experts, and donors to design and test pathways to scale for development models that address complex social challenges. She leads the scale-up of the Graduation Approach in Bihar (SJY) and nationwide pilots with NRLM (National Rural Livelihood Mission). Additionally, Parikrama supports system integration of Every Child Counts initiative across six states in India and oversees J-PAL South Asia's collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development on evidence-based projects and new research, particularly on gender.
Before moving to the development sector, she worked in ecommerce. She also gained experience in Analytics, working with McKinsey Knowledge Center and in Government Advisory with Ernst and Young Pvt. Limited.
Parikrama holds a Master's in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Indore and a BA (hons) in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.
