Joao Monteiro is an Assistant Professor at the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance. Professor Monteiro's research interests include corporate finance, international economics, and macroeconomics. He has also written on the economics of conflict. He holds a BA and an MSc from Universidade Catolica Portuguesa and a PhD in Finance from Northwestern University.
