Atonu Rabbani

Atonu Rabbani is Research Director at the General Economics Division (GED), Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), and Professor of Economics (on leave) at the University of Dhaka. He is lead academic at the International Growth Centre (IGC) Bangladesh and an advisor to the South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE). He previously held the Mushtaque Chowdhury Professorship at BRAC University. An applied microeconomist, his research spans health, labour, organisations, environment, and energy economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago.
