Brian McCaig

Brian McCaig is a Professor of Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada. Prior to joining Laurier in 2012, Dr. McCaig was a Lecturer and Research Fellow in the Research School of Economics at the Australian National University. His research explores how households, workers, and firms respond to globalisation in low-income countries, with a focus on Vietnam, and has been published in top academic journals, including the American Economic Review and the Journal of International Economics.
McCaig is an Affiliate of the Centre for Development Economics and Sustainability, Monash University. He has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, the International Food Policy Research Institute, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
