Irina España-Eljaiek is an assistant professor in the School of Economics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá, Colombia. She has a Ph.D. in economics and social sciences from the University of Cologne and the International Max Planck Research School, both in Germany. Her research focuses on economic history, education, racial exclusion, and research methods.
