Juan F Castro is a professor at the Department of Economics at Universidad del Pacifico in Lima, Peru. He is currently the Dean of the School of Economics and Finance. He is a development economist focused on education, early childhood development and applied microeconometrics. He has published several articles related to these topics in journals such as Quantitative Economics, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Education Finance and Policy, Economics of Education Review and The World Bank Economic Review. Castro holds a Ph.D. in International Development from the University of Oxford, a MSc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and a BSc. in Economics from Universidad del Pacifico.
