Maarten Bosker is Professor of International Trade and Development at the Erasmus School of Economics Rotterdam, and the Tinbergen Institute. He is also affiliated to CEPR, the London School of Economics, and CESifo. His research interests center around trying to better understand the role of geography in shaping economic development and (international) trade. His work, which is mostly empirical, has among others been published in the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Economic Journal, the Journal of Urban Economics and the Journal of Development Economics.
