Margarita Gáfaro

Margarita Gáfaro is the Director of the Center for Studies on Production and Sectoral Trade (CEPCO) at Banco de la República, the central bank of Colombia. She previously served as Director of the Center for Agricultural Economics and Natural Resource Studies at the same institution. She is an applied microeconomist whose research focuses on the intersection of development economics and agricultural economics. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University and a B.A. in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
