Mousapha Seye is a Sociologist-Anthropologist and Senior Research Fellow at the Laboratoire de Recherche sur les Transformations Économiques et Sociales (LARTES), at the Institut Fondamental d'Afrique Noire at Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD) in Senegal. Moustapha's research interests include environmental governance, the sociology of gender, food, childhood issues, food and nutritional security, cash transfers, and community resilience in Senegal and West Africa. His research uses diverse and mixed-methodologies, including participatory and qualitative methods, process and impact evaluation, alongside policy engagement efforts. Moustapha received his doctorate in Sociology from UCAD, for which he was awarded the prize for the best doctoral thesis by the National Academy of Sciences and Techniques of Senegal.
