Nathaniel Lane

Nathan is an Associate Professor in Economics at Oxford University, and a Tutorial Fellow at Merton College, Oxford. He is co-founder of the Industrial Policy Group, with Professor Reka Juhasz (UBC). Prior to Oxford, Dr. Lane was an economics professor at Monash University where he was cofounder of SodaLabs.io. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His interests are at the intersection of political economy, industrial development, comparative historical development, and big data. His current research agenda is focused on establishing basics facts surrounding industrial policy practice.
