Nick Lea

Nick Lea is Deputy Chief Economist at the UK Department For International Development (DFID).  He has written extensively for DFID on poverty dynamics, growth, inequality, the global economy and bad political equilibriums. Before working for DFID, Nick was Country Head for the Children’s Investment Fund in Malawi; consulted on growth analysis for the World Bank; and prior to that, spent ten years working in capital markets. He holds a patent in the risk management of financial derivatives.
