Sahil Gandhi is a lecturer (assistant professor) at the University of Manchester. He was an Assistant Professor at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and a visiting fellow at Brookings Institution (India Center).

His recent research is on rent control, land use regulations, housing supply, and climate change. He has bylines in international and Indian media -- The Washington Post, The Hindu, Livemint among others, and has been cited or quoted in The Financial Times, The Straits Times, BBC, and others.
