Jiafu An is an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong. He received his PhD from the University of Edinburgh. His research on initial coin offerings, financial development, and social impact of technology (e.g., LLMs) has appeared in many leading international journals including the Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Law and Economics, Nature portfolio journals, among many others. He is also a recipient of the NSE IGIDR Corporate Governance Research Grant, and various best research awards granted by leading international academic associations such as Financial Management Association and European Financial Management Association.
