Giulia Greco
Associate Professor, Department of Global Health and Development, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine
Giulia Greco is Associate Professor in the Department of Global Health and Development, and co-Director of the Global Health Economics Centre, at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). She has a PhD from LSHTM, an MSc from LSE, and BSc from Bocconi University. Her work focuses on measuring and valuing health and quality of life — including capabilities and subjective wellbeing — and using those outcomes in economic evaluations of public-health interventions, mainly in low- and middle-income countries. She has led economic evaluations across reproductive, maternal, newborn and adolescent health, mental health, and complex school-based interventions. She is Associate Editor of Social Science & Medicine and the Journal of Human Development and Capabilities. She was visiting lecturer at Makerere University School of Economics in Uganda (2016-2019) and is currently based in Nairobi, Kenya.
