Ada Kwan is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (2020-pres). Her research focuses on health systems, health and development economics, and measurement. In particular, she measures patient, provider, and place characteristics that drive quality, inequities, and disparities in health and care delivery. Methodologically, she utilizes randomization, quasi-experiments, and complex surveys, such as standardized patients, to assess the effects and implications of scaling up programs that aim to improve conditions for groups that experience socioeconomic marginalization.
