Gonzalo E. Sánchez is a tenured Associate Professor of Economics at ESPOL Polytechnic University and Director of the Economic Research Center. He received his PhD in Economics from Texas A&M University in 2015. His research focuses on microeconometrics, impact evaluation, public finance, and experimental economics, with an emphasis on applied policy evaluation in developing-country contexts. His work has been published in leading international journals, including the Journal of Development Economics, Environmental and Resource Economics, and International Tax and Public Finance. He has served as a consultant for international organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and USAID, as well as for public-sector institutions in Ecuador. He teaches econometrics and microeconomics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
