Sara G. Castellanos is a Senior Research Economist at Banco de México (the Central Bank of Mexico). She has held multiple positions at Banco de México, as well as senior roles in Mexico’s public and private sectors, including the Mexican antitrust authority (COFECE), BBVA Research Mexico, and the Ministry of Economy. Her work has focused on central banking, financial markets, and competition policy. Sara holds a B.A. in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
