Javed Younas
Professor, Department of Economics, American University of Sharjah
Javed Younas is a Professor of Economics at the American University of Sharjah. He has also been affiliated with the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan as a Research Fellow. In his previous academic/research positions, he has been a Research Fellow at Harvard University, a Short-term Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and a faculty member at Central Michigan University. His research is focused on the areas of international trade, the political economy of conflicts and security, health, and behavioral economics. His current research incorporates experimental methods to evaluate the effectiveness of various public programs.
