Daniela Horta Sáenz is a postdoctoral fellow at the FAIR Institute at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Aix-Marseille School of Economics. Her research lies at the intersection of development economics, political economy, and conflict, with a focus on South Africa and Colombia.
Her work examines the long-term effects of conflict and conflict-resolution policies on nation-building and human capital accumulation. She also studies the cultural and institutional factors that reinforce sexual and gender-based violence in fragile states.
