Matteo Ghilardi

Matteo Ghilardi is a Senior Economist in the Asia and Pacific Department at the International Monetary Fund. He previously worked in the Western Hemisphere Department and the Middle East and Central Asia Department, contributing to IMF-supported programs and surveillance work, as well as in the IMF’s Research Department, focusing on issues affecting low-income countries. His research focuses on macroeconomics, with particular emphasis on fiscal and monetary policy. He has produced several scientific publications in peer-reviewed outlets. He holds a PhD from the University of Surrey.
