Paul Brimble

Paul Brimble is currently a PhD student in the Department of Economics at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on how policy and technology shape household behaviour in low-income settings, including efficiency, financial inclusion, human capital, and identity. Methodologically, his work involves both field experiments and the construction and analysis of large, novel datasets. He has conducted research projects in India, Kenya, Rwanda, Togo and Thailand.
He was previously an economic advisor on the ODI Fellowship Scheme at Rwanda's Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (2017-2019). He completed an MPhil in Economics at the University of Oxford in 2017 and a BA in Economics at the University of Cambridge in 2015.
