Paul Pelzl

Paul Pelzl is assistant professor at NHH Norwegian School of Economics. His research spans across multiple fields including Development Economics, Political Economy, Financial Intermediation, and Natural Resources. The common theme of his papers has been to study the impact of external shocks on firms using highly granular micro-data. Paul has been particularly interested in the role of manufacturing as a growth engine for developing countries and has written about Indonesia and its manufacturing sector on more than one occasion. He is from Vienna, Austria and earned his PhD in Economics from the Tinbergen Institute and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
