Piero Ghezzi is the Former Minister of Production of Peru (February 2014 – July 2016). In that role, he designed and implemented the Mesas Ejecutivas, an innovative methodology for putting productive development policies into practice through public–private collaboration.

Between 2007 and 2013, he served as Global Head of Economic Research and Head of Emerging Markets Research at Barclays Capital, based in London. He previously held positions as Head of Latin America Research, Managing Director, Head of Latin America Strategy, Director, and Head of External Debt Strategy for Emerging Markets at Deutsche Bank in New York, where he worked from 1999 to 2007.
