Samuel Fraiberger is a Senior AI Scientist and AI Program Lead in the World Bank’s Development Impact Group, and an Affiliate Researcher at the NYU Computer Science Department. His work bridges computer science and the social sciences, focusing on the development and deployment of AI public goods to tackle pressing global challenges—from online hate speech and food insecurity to evidence-informed policymaking. His research has appeared in leading academic venues such as Science, Science Advances, PNAS, ACL, and EMNLP, and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The Washington Post, Axios, and TEDx. His projects have been supported by Google.org and the Gates Foundation among others.
