Scott Orr is Assistant Professor in the Strategy and Business Economics Division at the University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business. He earned a Bachelors and Master's degrees in economics at Queen's University, and a Ph.D. in economics at the University of Toronto. His recent work has focused on issues related to productivity measurement and predicting the price effects of mergers. He has published papers in the Journal of Political Economy, the Review of Economics and Statistics, the RAND Journal of Economics , the Journal of International Economics, and the Canadian Journal of Economics. He currently lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with his wife, daughter, and dog.
