Sérgio Mikio Koyama is a Deputy Head of Department in the Research Department at the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB). His main research interests are financial inclusion, credit markets and the impact of climate change on the financial sector. Before joining BCB in 1998, he worked extensively in market research and valuation projects. He holds a M.S. in Statistics and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of São Paulo.
