Sudhanshu (Ashu) Handa

Ashu is Institute Fellow at the American Institutes for Research and Kenan Eminent Professor in the Department of Public Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a human resource economist specialising in household behaviour in developing countries. He has over 20 years’ experience assessing impacts of government poverty alleviation programmes in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. He previously served as Chief of Social Policy and Economic Analysis, UNICEF Office of Research at Innocenti.
