Tara Watson

Tara Watson is Professor of Economics at Williams College and David M. Rubenstein Fellow at the Brookings Institution. Professor Watson’s research focuses on U.S. social policy, including health, the safety net, and immigration. She served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Microeconomic Analysis in the Department of Treasury in 2015-2016 and was a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow in Health Policy Research in 2007-2009. She holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and Ph.D. from the Harvard University Department of Economics.
