Torfinn Harding specializes in economic development and environmental economics, addressing topics such as regulation and taxes, resource management, fiscal policy, structural change, and economic growth.

Torfinn serves as the Editor of The Scandinavian Journal of Economics, which underscores his commitment to economic research.
Torfinn holds the position of Professor of Economics at the University of Stavanger Business School and serves as an Adjunct Professor at the NHH Norwegian School of Economics. He earned his PhD in Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2008 and has previously held academic roles at institutions including the NHH Norwegian School of Economics and the University of Oxford."
