Amy Damon

Amy Damon’s research focuses on household poverty reduction strategies and food security. Her projects include studying the impact of international migration on families in Central America, analysing agricultural production shocks in Sub-Saharan Africa, and exploring the constraints women face in the agriculture and energy sectors. She is currently involved in several research initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa and Indonesia and has worked with a number of international organizations, including the World Bank, the International Food Policy Research Institute, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, and Prospera—the Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Economic Development. She is a professor in the Department of Economics at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.
