Aurélie Harou is an Assistant Professor of Applied Economics in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences at McGill University. She holds a B.Sc. in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of Sussex, an M.S. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis, and a Ph.D. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. Prior to joining McGill, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University’s Earth Institute, where she was affiliated with both the Agriculture and Food Security Center and the International Research Institute for Climate and Society. Her research explores issues at the intersection of agricultural, development, and resource economics, with a focus on improving the food security, nutrition and climate resilience of smallholder farmers in low- and middle-income countries.
