Daniel Araujo is a PhD Student in Economics at the University of British Columbia. He is a member of the Group of Evaluation of Public and Economic Policies (GAPPE) and his research interests lie in development, history, and applied microeconomics. His recent research focuses on the impact of illegal markets on modern slavery and the long-run economic consequences of iodine supplementation. He has published in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Development Economics and the Journal of Health Economics.
