Devasmita Jena is an Associate Professor (Economics) at T A Pai Management Institute, Bengaluru. Her research centres around international trade and development, international trade policy, geoeconomics and applied macroeconomics. Previously she taught courses in International Trade and Applied Macro and Financial Econometrics at Madras School of Economics. Prior to embarking on an academic journey, she worked in the Department of Economic and Policy Research, Reserve Bank of India where she handled several policy-oriented roles relating to macro-economic development, international trade, monetary system, and financial sector in India. She has also served as Officer on Special Duty to the Ministry of Finance (MoF), Government of India.
