Dora Simon

Dora Simon is an Assistant Professor of Economics at University of Stavanger. Her research lies at the intersection of international trade and environmental economics, with a focus on how trade policies and consumption patterns affect greenhouse gas emissions. She combines detailed micro-level data with quantitative economic models to study the environmental consequences of globalisation and climate policy. Dora received her PhD in Economics from University of Zurich, a master's degree from Barcelona School of Economics, and a BSc in Economics from Goethe University Frankfurt. Before entering academia, she worked at the European Central Bank and the German Council of Economic Experts.
