João Ayres is a Senior Economist in the Research Department at the Inter-American Development Bank. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota. During his doctoral studies, he worked as a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and held visiting positions at Columbia University and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His research focuses on international economics, macroeconomics, and public finance.
