Leocardia Nabwire is a Research and Impact Evaluation Lead for the One Acre Fund (OAF) Program in Uganda. Her current work involves working with a team of the OAF in-country and global MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning) staff to assess the impact of the OAF program interventions and provide meaningful evidence-based insights that the organization can use to make
informed decisions and improvements. Prior to joining OAF, she worked at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), researching on seed systems development, food value chain development, and the role of household (gender) dynamics/decision making and behavioural sciences in smallholder agriculture in sub-Saharan Africa, using a range of methods—from secondary data analysis to quasi-experimental evaluations and randomized controlled trials.
