Lindsey Novak

Assistant Professor of Economics, Reed College

Lindsey Novak is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Reed College. Her research interests are at the intersection of international economic development, health, and gender. Her work focuses on understanding the individual and community dynamics of decisions surrounding female genital cutting, early or forced marriage, intimate partner violence, as well as other health behaviors. She received her PhD from the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota in 2017. Before starting her PhD, she worked at The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) in New Delhi, India.
